1. Prepare a summary of the matter for us. This is a great way provide us with an introduction to your matter. We will ask you a lot of questions to clearly understand what has happened. Think of the “Five W’s”! Who, what, when, where and why. Remember, everything you discuss with us is confidential.
2. Don’t forget to bring in relevant documentation with you. For example, your identification (drivers licence and passport), letters received/sent, current Wills, employment agreement, trust deeds, evidence etc. to help us understand your matter.
3. Write down your questions so you don’t forget to ask us. Better still, email this to us prior to your meeting so that we can prepare answers in advance. This will help you get the most out of your meeting. The meeting is also about arming you with the right information to make the best decision for you.
4. Before you come in, consider your expectations and goals that you wish to achieve. Be clear about what you want so that we can work through this with you.
5. Ask us about an estimate of fees or costs. If you are unsure, ask again. We would prefer that you have a clear understanding before you make your investment in our services.
