Here are our 5 tips for an easy shut-down over the Christmas period
Here are our 5 tips before closure:
1. Your Will and Estate Plan
If you are travelling over the holiday season, check that you have a valid Will or that your current Will still reflects your wishes. It is not too late to make arrangements if you don’t have a Will.
2. Office Christmas Party
The silly season generally means that there will be plenty of parties to attend. As an employer, don’t forget that the buck stops with you. Please ensure that your staff are aware of your business policy on functions, drugs/alcohol, bullying, workplace health and safety, harassment and professional behavior, to ensure that everyone is safe and has a good time.
3. Debtors
Now is the time to take stock of your debtors. Send notices now to ensure that you can recover payments before closure.
4. Closure Notice
Don’t forget to notify your customers, clients and other suppliers of your closure period.
5. New Year, New Goals
Plan for the resumption of work in the New Year. Set your goals in motion by thinking about what could be achieved in 2022.
